And we were live!

I decided to do something a little different today with this podcast and I'm hoping to carry it on, but we'll see... Elodie and I went live and talked about what it was like for each of us growing up as Christians.

Even when we do it all wrong, God is always faithful. Recognising how much He loves us, how much He wants us to be ourselves and how much He is more interested in our relationship with Him over religious activity is what brings Freedom.

Whilst I certainly didn't get it all right - which is why I named the podcast being perfectly imperfect - God said something to me one day when Elodie was about 5-years old and it changed the way I would raise her compared to how I was raised myself.

One thing I didn't mention in this podcast, I was raised by my Grandparents, but neither my grandparents nor my parents were Christians. So what I'm talking about here is really my church experience.

It was great to have one of the original Ivy Church posse on the call because believe me, there was still plenty of sunny days despite our youth leaders being more than a little strict. I appreciate them even today.
