In the book of Genesis, the first book in the Bible, we learn that God created the world with WORDS.

God said, "let there be light and there was light." 

So when we say the same WORDS that God says, Christian or not Christian, we have to get what God has said. In other words, when we come into agreement with what God says, manifestation of good is inevitable, irrespective of religious beliefs.

If I apply principles and WORDS in accordance with GOD's truth, I will get what I believe and have what I say. Why? Because God cannot retract the WORDS He's already spoken. "So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

That's why God also tells us in Philippians 4:8, 

"Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." 

God is the author of true, honest, lovely and He knows the plans for us are good. Hence the reason He says, "focus on the outcome because the report is good."

So, how does all of this make me have a problem with The Law of Attraction?

Because manifesting has resulted in people believing that because they are saying certain things and getting certain results, they are their own god.

But on the flip side, the other issue I have is that too many Christians have no wisdom or discernment to know what is New Age and what is God. So they tend to lump everything under one umbrella and dismiss any kind of manifesting as New Age.

It's no wonder God said, "the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light." Luke 16:8

I mean, what a shame to be carriers of the Kingdom of God and not benefit from the Kingdom we carry! We are on planet earth to shift the culture!

And here's the rub...

However it's termed, Law of Attraction or otherwise, "secular" people didn't create manifesting, God did!

Most people do not realise that we actually ATTRACT with our hearts (the core of who we are or our subconscious mind) and not with our conscious minds. We reveal what's in our heart - what we predominately imagine or think about - through our mouths. "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

The Heart Of The Matter

Did you know, in the womb, the heart is created first and beats without the need of the brain? I first learned this on a Channel 4 documentary, Heart vs Mind, some years ago. 

And I don't know about you, but I think it's interesting that the first organ that develops in the body, is the heart... The thing God commissions us to guard because "out of it flow the issues of life."

So, as it's currently portrayed, The Law of Attraction is New Age, but at its core, the principles have been copied from the Bible and twisted to oust God out of the manifesting process. 

But rather than renouncing what we don't understand and throw the baby out with the bath water, let's remember why we're taught to meditate God's WORD. It's because His WORD is truth (His reality) and as we meditate His Word (focus on what He says), it will bring us back into alignment with all that is true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of a good report.

If we're struggling in our health, in our business, our relationships or finances, as we meditate God's Word and focus on what He says about us more than our current circumstances, we will experience His promises for our lives.

And this goes beyond positive thinking. This is the power of our imagination to see ourselves and our circumstances the way God sees us... "In earth as it is in heaven." 

I love Chad Gonzales' revelatory explanation of the LIFE we have through the cross. He explains that even though we've crossed from death to life, we still live as though we're living in a cursed reality and hence the reason we don't see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives.

This Isn't What The Law of Attraction Teachers Teach

They want enough God (if at all) to give them a good or even "best" life, but they refuse the SON who will give them eternal life.

But because God created the world with words of truth and WHOEVER believes those truths can have the good God created, they can indeed manifest good things into their lives. Eternal Life however - here and in the sweet by and by - is absolutely reserved (or should I say, bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus), for the believer in Christ.

So I suppose my stance on the Law of Attraction is that we manifest or attract what we believe. However for me - and as believers - our believing should absolutely be aligned with God's truth so we don't stray into what I believe is a dangerous New Age practice of manifesting without God and trying to be our own god.
