TIW 001: Who Is The Influential Woman?

March 24, 2019

Welcome to the first episode of The Influential Woman Podcast.

This is the podcast about women, for women, empowering and equipping you to take your position of influence. It doesn't matter if you're a stay at home mum, business woman, ministry leader, married or single, we all have a God-given purpose to take our place of influence in life an business.

AN ASIDE ...

Just a side-note, this podcast episode along with episode #2 was originally created in December 2012 for my old Christian Women’s site, Women of Influence. I've since sold this domain name.

The format of this new Influential Woman podcast has changed, but the information was too good to ditch!

It will also give you some context as to who I am, where I’m coming from, and what I stand for.

In this episode, I talk about who The Influential Woman is, and why I believe it's time for women to rise up. But I also make it very clear that this isn't a power struggle or a battle of the sexes. I believe that when women take their place and men take theirs, great things happen.

Women are by nature powerful relationship builders, but they can also use their influence to tear others down and destroy relationships. But the more we focus on building, the less time we have for destroying.

And ... The Influential Woman does not have to have their life altogether. They can still believe for and encourage you despite the fact that they are going through their own stuff. They don't necessarily have all the answers, but they have a quiet reassurance.

The Influential Woman isn't defined by how much she earns, but by the quality by which she gives - in terms of her time, encouraging words, listening ear, resources she offers.

What about confidence? How confident are you at saying "no" and saying it with confidence rather than saying "yes' to those things you'd really rather say "no" to?

Like any other influential person, your "no" is as important as your yes because it will free you up to focus on your priorities.

And how good a project manager are you?

I learnt directly from God that I didn't have to do everything myself. The Proverbs 31 woman was a project manager. This means she got help. And it's okay to ask for help.

And finally, The Influential Woman seeks to live a fulfilled life.

Money is important, but for The Influential Woman, fulfilment is more important than money but we have to feel that we're making progress and making a difference.

In the next episode, episode #2, I'm going to share my story, so you know where I'm coming from.

If you've ever felt as though you're not worthy, you don't have a voice or that your purpose has been some how tarnished by the events of your past, you absolutely need to listen to the next podcast.

Until next time, Keep The Dream Alive!
